This 80-unit condominium community in Chalfont, Pennsylvania has been managed by Associa Mid-Atlantic since 2021. The community is comprised often buildings with one and two-floor units.
The community had been dealing with leaking roofs for years; one unit in particular experienced leaks just two weeks after its roof was replaced. Despite the extensive damage caused by the roofing contractor, the former management company refused to hire anyone else because they said this contractor was the only one familiar with the roofs. The board was able to terminate its relationship with this contractor before transitioning to Associa Mid-Atlantic, but there was quite a mess to clean up.
Associa Mid-Atlantic’s community manager, Patti C., quickly gathered the details for the unit with the new faulty roof and developed a plan to make necessary repairs. She reached out to the warranty company because the roof was still within the first two years of replacement and contacted an engineer to inspect the unit’s interior and exterior. Based on the recommendations in the engineer’s report, Patti C. obtained proposals for repairs from two roofers. One of the proposals was approved by the board, and the vendor swiftly replaced the unit’s entire roof. The owners were overjoyed, and thanks to Associa Mid-Atlantic’s hard work and consistent communication with the board, the issue was immediately handled, and there will no longer be future delays.
